Learn to Make Money Blogging

As blogging becomes more and more lucrative business, a lot of established companies as well as the newbies are considering how they can get into the action.

One way to capitalize on the blog movement is by having blogs that provide a kind of friendly face for their corporation. Most often than not, a company will employ an established blogger to create a weblog designed specifically to appeal to that company's customers and to create positive associations with the brand in consumers' minds. More than one writer who never even dreamed that he or she could make money blogging has been approached by a company and offered quite a pretty penny for this kind of endeavor.

The first and most common way to turn a blog into a profit making machine is to sell advertising to different companies and brands who want to reach that blog's readers. The second kind of money making blog is one that helps a single brand improve its image by creating positive associations between the blog and the product in the mind of consumers. Both kinds of blogs can make a lot of money, especially if the creator has a keen mind for marketing.

If you are blogging with the goal of selling advertising, there are two basic ways that you can go about recruiting sponsors who want to put ads on your site; you can let someone else do all of the legwork, or you can do the work yourself and keep all of the revenue.

Many people make money blogging by selling space through Google's AdSense program. The advantages of this program are numerous, as it requires very little effort on the part of the blogger or webmaster to begin raking in profits. However, most people discover that they make less money through this method than they had hoped that their blog would earn.

Selling advertising directly to companies who want to put banner ads or sponsored links on your blog can take quite a bit of time, but it is often fairly lucrative. If you have a lot of contacts in industries that are related to the topic of your blog, you may want to try to go this route.

Also, People who have a strong background in sales and are experienced at pitching proposals can make quite a bit of money by renting blog space to interested companies. The most serious problem with this model is that you often have to build quite a sizable readership before you can attract advertisers, which can mean that you have to do several months of work before you start to make money blogging.

Good Luck!

I Am Back

After so many months of not writing any posts here since June 08, 2008. I am back!

Why you were not able to post for such a long period of time? You might ask.

It is because my offline job is so demanding that I could not even have the time to write. My job requires me to write and make reports almost daily that even updating my blog was no longer possible.

But now I am back!

Maybe you might ask again, Why I am back? Why do you have time to post and update your blog now?

Well, I do not know if  this is a good news for my blog or not. But, I am now joining the millions of abled individuals who has lost our respective jobs just because of company's closure.

I do not know how should I cope up with the pressing demands of our day to day basic needs, anymore. But one thing that I am sure of,  I have still the "will to survive" no matter what!

And the very first thing that I am going to do right now is to go BLOGGING again. And at least to increase my money making endeavors online. Hopefully, I could regain those earnings which I was enjoying before specially from Google Adsense and Adbrite.

I Am Back! Hope you will support me and follow me again on my quest for SURVIVAL!

Thanks and God Bless to Us All!

Anybody Can Read

This article is a continuation of my previous post entitled Anybody Can Blog.

Well, maybe this time, after successfully reading and following Anybody Can Blog, you are already enjoying your new found hobby - and that is blogging. Blogging is a very addictive hobby at that, specially when you know that somebody somewhere visited your blog and probably is reading your posts.

Yes, you got it perfectly right. Your blog must have online visitors and probably read your posts. This is the only way you can go on blogging if your intentions, of course, is to make your blog go public. Otherwise you do not have to be worried about your blog's readers if you prefer to make it private.

Generally, almost all bloggers choice their respective blogs be read by other people. Because, as a blogger, or a writer for that matter, there is no sense of purpose in writing articles if nobody reads it. The success of your being a writer or blogger depends on how many people is reading your piece.

So, if you are now wondering, how you are going to start accomplishing those criteria I just mentioned above, below are the first basic steps you need to do:

- be natural. Meaning when you write a blog it must be coming naturally from your senses irregardless of what topics you are writing about.

- share your blog. Since you are "blogging naturally" you can now invite your family, friends, classmates, and others to visit your blog and ask them what they can say about your posts.

Those are the basic things that you must observed when you want your blog to be read.

Anybody Can Read all you have to do is to let them know that you have a blog worth reading.

Once again, stay tuned with this blog because I will post in the near future the next steps you might need to take, for your blog. Or for your own convenience just subscribe here to make my future posts automatically emailed to you. Good Luck!

What to Blog

I been in this situation for days now. It hit me. I want to blog but I do not know what to blog. As what the other probloggers says, this is just a natural phenomenon to all bloggers.

Bloggers, sometimes face a blank wall and a blank mind when it comes to what to blog. It seems that the urge to write is always there yet when it comes to what topic you will blog it becomes blank. Almost nothing. No topic, no post.

So, finally I decided to blog this predicament of mine. To share to you and to my feed subscribers that I am still here. And always thinking what topic should I offer you. I owed you all, at least, a post every 3 days. Hope you will keep up with me because I valued your subscriptions to this blog.

Pardon me, but I would like to take this opportunity also, to greet you all a Merry and Holy Christmas. God Bless to all of us! good luck!

You could Earn $5,000.00 a month through Blogging

When I saw the trailer of GMA-7's Mel and Joey a day before it's regular show every sunday I was thrilled because they were hyping the Internet Blogging as newest way of money making venture for filipinos. I am not use to watch Mel and Joey show even just once before but because of this I made it to the point that I could watch this particular episode.

This particular episode of Mel and Joey was aired last sunday, August 19, 2007. If you missed this show let us thank romph for uploading it in youtube.

The best part of this show is when one of the host announced - You could Earn $5,000.00 a month through Blogging. Wow!

However, it gives me a little bit disappointment because I am blogging for over a year now but I could even hardly make $50.00 a month. It is good that I visited Yugatech site owned by Abe Olandres the man being interviewed in that show of Mel and Joey. Here he explained through this post "Welcome Notes to Visitors from Mel & Joey" that his earnings of $5,000.00 a month through blogging is not quite true. And I am relieved from my disappointment.

Different Way in Reviewing CareerRamblings.com

The most-read webloggers aren't necessarily the ones with the most original ideas, say researchers at Hewlett-Packard Labs.

Review Career Ramblings For A Backlink is a simple promotion offered by Career Development to other bloggers or webmasters as the case maybe to simply review their site and enjoy a backlink which has recently received a PageRank of 6 from Google. The authors of this blog Career Development, John Anthony and Jane May, are well versed on this topic since they write through their respective experiences in Corporate America and life in general.

But as the opening quotation says this idea of offering a Review and enjoy a free link back is surely not an original idea of Career Development. However, since this idea offers a win-win situation for both parties many well-known bloggers adopted it and bait most of the willing bloggers to make a review of their site. And both are happy to the results of this partnership or endeavor- in terms of gaining a higher page ranking and as well as boosting their ranking in the Search Engine.

This idea become infectious and well accepted by almost all bloggers specially those who want to make money online. However, who started this idea? majority of us does not know anymore, what is important is we gain what we wanted for our respective blogs.

But I hope the Hewlett-Packard Researchers will found out who started this idea as they have discovered that authors of popular blog sites regularly borrow topics from lesser-known bloggers -- and they often do so without attribution.
Furthermore to quote an statement coming from wired.com on its topic Warning: Blogs Can Be Infectious:

To satisfy their curiosity, the researchers began analyzing data from Intelliseek's BlogPulse Web crawler, which regularly mines thousands of blogs for references to people, places and events.

When they plotted the links and topics shared by various sites, they discovered that topics would often appear on a few relatively unknown blogs days before they appeared on more popular sites.

"What we're finding is that the important people on the Web are not necessarily the people with the most explicit links (back to their sites), but the people who cause epidemics in blog networks," said researcher Eytan Adar.

These infectious people can be hard to find because they do not always receive attribution for being the first to point to an interesting idea or news item.

So, to those who adopted this progressive idea of "Review Offer to have a Free Linkback" maybe it is time to know who started it in order for us to at least honor him or her. And may it be a start of an infectious behavior to all bloggers out there in blogosphere to acknowledge the creator of the "ideas" that being introduced and adopted by us.

Join the Ride to Stentorized the Alexa Train

I have been invited by Gibo of Pinoy Seminars to join the Alexa Redirect Train started by Carl Ocab of Make Money Online with a 13-year Old. I now pass on the invitation to 5 other blogs and hope that they too will join the ride to stentorized the Alexa train. Hopefully this thing will increase traffic to newbie blogs like mine.

~Start Copying Here~

Alexa Redirect Train by Carl Ocab .

Rules:Put anything you like above this list – Chit Chat, talkies, introduce what this is. Something like that.

Start copying on the “~Start Copying Here~” and copy all the things listed without removing the links. (Of course, the train would be no use without those links.)

Move all the sites labeled “Newcomers” to the list labeled “Oldies.”

Add 5 sites that you want to include in the train and make their link like this: http://redirect.alexa.com/redirect?www.example.com then invite them to join the train.

Visit all the listed sites! (That’s not much work! Remember, if you plant good seeds they will also grow good) and look at your high Alexa ranking next week!

Stentorized on Bucks for Blogging

When I check this blog, "Stentorized Blogging", and scanned its homepage or frontpage to check how my blog is pairing I noticed in the sidebar under the "Blogging News" a featured article entitled Bucks for Blogging. Out of curiosity since this is one of the niche of this blog, I clicked the link of that article in order to read its whole story.

The article was just posted by Mr. Jason Wilson of PC World on 30/05/2007 at 13:29:40. He wrote that One person who has made a living out of blogging is Darren Rowse. A former church minister, Rowse lives in Melbourne and got into professional blogging almost by accident.

Mr. Darren Rowse told him further how he started blogging and I qoute:

"In preparation for an overseas trip (in 2003), I started a photo blog to show family and friends some of the digital images that I took while travelling. I also posted a review of my digital camera. In checking my blog traffic, I found that no one looked at the images, but that the review was quite popular in Google. A light went on in my head and I began to wonder what would happen if I had reviews of hundreds of cameras."

This led to Rowse doing the occasional camera write up, along with gathering other reviews into his blog.

"I actually found that my readers wanted to compare multiple reviews of the same camera all in the one place." The blog soon turned into a collation of digital camera reviews and links from around the world.

It is really so inspiring to learn how an ordinary person and in a case of Darren Rowse a minister became a successful blogger. At first, Rowse only purpose in making a blog is to show to his friends and family images or pictures of the places he visited while traveling. And at the same time review the digital camera he used for taking those pictures. Surprisingly, as Rowse said visitors of his blog then were not interested on the images he posted but the review he made on the digital camera he used. This experience gave him the idea and pave the way towards his ventures on making money while blogging through writing reviews.

And today, Rowse now runs two blogs (www.problogger.net and www.digital-photography-school.com/blog) and is a co-founder of b5media (www.b5media.com) - one of the largest professional blogging sites currently online. b5media employs nine full time staff and contracts around 100 bloggers from around the world to write on a variety of topics.

Mr. Darren Rowse even gave 5 TOP BLOGGING TIPS to Jason for all the bloggers to note and I quote:
  1. Select a topic you know and enjoy: You need to be able to still see yourself writing about it every day in the next 2-3 years.
  2. Be yourself: Write in your own style, don't pretend to know about things that you don't, and remember to inject some personality into your writing.
  3. Develop relationships: Build relationships with readers as well as other bloggers. You're building an online community so be engaging.
  4. Provide useful and unique content: A mistake many bloggers make is that they just regurgitate what others are writing. Say something that is unique and enhances other people's lives and you'll attract readers.
  5. Experiment: Learn quickly that every blog is different, and what works on one won't always work on another. So experiment with different ways of making money, driving traffic, styles of writing etc. and when you find something that works, stick with it.

Well, what caught my attention is the tip no. 4 specially the word "regurgitate" which means to repeat or reproduce what has been heard, read, or taught, in a purely mechanical way, with no evidence of personal thought or understanding. I do not know to you but sometimes I was guilty of it specially when I start blogging last year. However, I learn quickly and make some experiment with different ways which gave birth to "Stentorized Blogging". And hopefully, I could make Bucks for Blogging.
